The American College of Radiology (ACR) needs your input on new Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services’ (CMS) adoption of value-based reimbursement and alternative payment models (APMs) defined by the Medicare Access and CHIP Reauthorization Act (MACRA). This law sets Medicare incentives and penalties to move providers from fee-for-service to APMs.
The College is working with CMS, private payers, other societies, and ACR state chapters through our Integrated Practice Network to participate in APM development and educate practices on next steps.
Radiologists may take part in APMs in many ways, including shared risk arrangements, bundled episodes of care and others already in place that we have yet to consider.
Please take the survey below to help us determine the most prevalent novel payment systems in use and ensure that ACR strategy aligns with what radiologists are now doing.
Thank you for participating in this survey. Together we can ensure that radiologists thrive in the new health care era.
